Here is a very unusual place nestled in the heart of Paris, rue de Charonne. A mixture of genres for a place that is defined by its multiple facets: shop, workshop, intimate place and hidden room for guests exclusively invited by the house, we are at Marie Sixtine's. Opened at the beginning of the year, this non-conformist shop made knitwear its leitmotif. Knitting workshops are even organized to transmit this passion in complete privacy. invites you to discover Marie Sixtine's apartment, a small secret hiding place with an enveloping and so chic decoration, which welcomes VIP guests!

A very select secret apartment

Julie Ansiau Nestled upstairs in the boutique, this apartment reserved for house guests (journalists, privileged customers or personalities) takes on the air of a confidential cocoon. The space, bathed in light, welcomes its VIP guests who can organize meetings, attend a knitting workshop, benefit from a personal-shopping session as well as spend a night there.

A wooden hut for adults

Julie Ansiau The surprise of Marie Sixtine's apartment is of course this sublime bedroom. Built like a cabin, the bedroom honors the bed, which rises high on a wooden platform. The large mohair bedspread sets the tone and the curtains installed along the bed provide a very cozy and intimate atmosphere.

Pompoms in sculpture!

Julie Ansiau In the living room, we stop in front of this wall sculpture made… with pompoms! It was the Whole studio that imagined it for Marie Sixtine, as a nod to her passion for knitting. We love !

A graphic staging in the bathroom

Julie Ansiau The basins designed for the place bring real elegance to the bathroom. The set of bowls, mirrors and lights is very graphic and elegant. It is installed in counterpoint to the old bathtub and there again, the marriage works.

Vintage objects and very chic soft colors

Julie Ansiau Like a cabinet of curiosities, the apartment is strewn with patiently antique objects. We really like the harmony between the materials, the eras and the colors which is skillfully staged. Behind the layout are the decorator Sandrine Place and the interior designer Baptiste Legué, two enthusiasts who have created a chic atmosphere.

Scandinavian and contemporary: the duo that works

Julie Ansiau At Marie Sixtine's, the dining room is also elegant. There are soft play of colors on the walls and on the floor. We really like the mix between the Scandinavian design of the wooden chairs and the sleek, ultra-contemporary spirit of the table. Ideal for organizing meetings and workshops in a spirit "with friends".

An apartment made of surprises

Julie Ansiau A carpet, a frame, a photo, an Eames chair ... At Marie Sixtine, everything is in the details. The eye wanders and goes from surprise to surprise to discover this insane apartment. We like the cushions installed on the windowsills to transform them into reading corners. More info on the site www.marie-sixtine.com/

Bath smoothness

Julie Ansiau A large, bright bathroom accommodates a pretty old lion-footed bathtub. The shades of gray on the wall taken from Farrow & Ball envelop the pond with an elegant softness. We also like the lights, which play on brass and white, which are installed in a chic note.

Compound Mix & Match

Julie Ansiau The charm of this very special suite comes from its personalized decor. Contemporary furniture mixes with a lot of naturalness with the floral fresco inspired by old tapestries (Atelier Poulaillon) and with shiny metals. A pretty composition which also highlights materials and knits for a bohemian but chic spirit.
